Due to current travel disruption, and so that we can focus on serving food and other essential items in our busy stores all of our in-store travel money bureau are now closed.
You cannot order travel money in store, online or by phone.
If you need to return currency, please call our Customer Service team on 0345 355 2463^. Make sure you have your proof of purchase to hand.

Buy your Dollars online. Placing an order is quick and easy, whether you’re at home, at work or on the go.
Visit us in store
Why not combine your travel money order with your weekly food shop? We have travel money bureau in Sainsbury’s stores across the UK.
You can also pick up any Dollars ordered online at a Travel Money bureau.
Make sure you bring valid photo ID, as well as the card you used to pay, when picking up pre-ordered Dollars.
Sell us your unused Dollar notes
If you didn’t use up all your cash while abroad, we can take it off your hands. Use our buy back service to sell us any unspent US Dollars.
Just visit one of our in store Travel Money bureaux.
Prefer a ?
Prefer not to carry cash while travelling? A prepaid travel card - like our Sainsbury's B@nk Multi-currency Cash Passport™ MasterCard® - might be a better solution.
You can pre-load (and reload) it with up to 10 currencies, then use it like a normal B@nk card abroad. It works at cashpoints, in shops, and online.
Which countries accept US Dollars?
The US Dollar isn’t just used in the USA. Several other countries accept it too, including:
Bahamas, Belize, British Virgin Islands, Cambodia, Ecuador, Nicaragua, Panama, Vietnam.
Always check before you buy, though. The foreign travel advice on GOV.UK should have up-to-date information about any country you are planning to visit.

*Next working day home delivery is available on orders placed before 2pm online and 2.30pm by phone Monday to Thursday. Highlands and Islands (including Channel Islands) are not guaranteed next day delivery.
